If you feel as though you are not being helped in a timely manner by your case manager or housing coordinator. You may file a Grievance Form in writing to the shelter director or shelter case worker, as a way of presenting grievances concerning. In my experience shelter staff do not file complaints. Contacting the Ombudsman office is more effective.

When they arrive, request that the incident is documented and that you would like a reference number for your complaint. You may pick up the report within 48 hours at the local precinct.
If you are in need of a special accommodation for a medical or a mental health disability the COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS will advocate on your behalf.
